Become a Member of the Junior League
For over 60 years, the Junior League of Florence has been committed to building better communities through promoting voluntarism and developing the potential of women through the effective leadership of trained volunteers.
Once a year The Junior League of Florence accepts applications for new membership through an informed admissions system. While it is a honor to be a member of the Junior League, we would be honored for you to consider joining us!
If you are interested in joining the Junior League of Florence, pleases review the listed requirements and complete the form below.
1. Residency Requirements
- The residency requirement of a Prospective Member without prior residency in Florence, or its immediate vicinity, shall be (3) three consecutive months immediately prior to June 1st of the year of her nomination.
- A Prospective Member having prior residency in Florence, or its vicinity, of an aggregate of (60) sixty months, shall be eligible for nomination after she has reestablished residency in Florence.
- A non-resident Proposed Member shall have met the residency and age requirements of this League and shall not have lived away from the League’s area for more than (5) five years. She shall live close enough to another Junior League to participate in the League’s Provisional Training.
2. Age Requirement
- A candidate must be 21 years of age by June 1st of the year she signs her contract as a Provisional.
